Throughout this course I have learned about different organizations
that work on behalf of the early childhood, which most of them I was not aware
of their existence. Learning about the different organizations, also let me realized
which are the current issues, trends, and priorities related to the early
childhood, not only in USA, but worldwide. Now that I have information about
them, I can use it in my professional practice, at the same time I can share it
with co-workers and families. The conversations with international contacts, not
only mine but those of my colleagues too, helped me to appreciate, in
particular ways, the practices and experiences I have gotten since working in
the field, and influenced me to be more thankful for what I currently have.
With the past blog assignments I also got useful tools
that will allow me stay abreast of what is happening in the field, with significant
information I need in order to be the advocate that children and families need.
In addition, I can help to make the change the field needs when joining to some
organizations, supporting their causes, and practicing what they have found is
more beneficial for the early childhood education field.
Hi Caty
ReplyDeleteI also found it extremely valuable to learn about the various organizations that are working to improve the quality of early childhood education in my community as well as the organizations that operate at the global level. When professional join these organizations we are adding a voice to the message and collectively will be able to initiate a change in the standards that are acceptable in our practices.

Caty,
ReplyDeleteAs I mentioned I loved hearing about Fany.... you provided a great window into her world for all of us to view through your blog posts! I feel the same that as we learned information through the international organizations, our realm of the realities of the struggles in early childhood field world wide became clearer and helped us to see the parallels and similarities with our own issues and trends here in the United States.
Your blog has been interesting and exciting to read throughout these 8 weeks.
